Automotive Rear End Cover
LIVE! Here, the innovative IMD process is used to create a rear end cover with three different design areas. The panel, made of two different stable plastics, is translucent and can be recycled as a single unit. An innovative lighting concept enables communication with other road users and at the same time makes unmistakable brand statements.

IMD UNIFY – BAIER
See for yourself live at the stand how a washing machine panel on a BAIER BINSPIRE machine is equipped with touch sensors using FFB (Functional Foil Bonding) and customized in the same machine unit with digital printing. This converts household appliances from series production items into individual editions.
Digital Product Passport with ValiGate®
This Digital Product Passport will already make you compliant with an EU Directive scheduled to come into force from 2024, according to which complete proof of the entire product history must be provided. But this feature offers even more possibilities.

Rear End Cover
Together with its machine partner Engel, KURZ is presenting a world first LIVE at K 2022:
The machine technology was developed together with KURZ subsidiary Schöfer, which enables the use of a 2K material mix. You will experience live how a rear end cover that harmoniously combines design and functionality is produced and finished. The connected surface impresses with its large, seamless decoration, backlighting, and 3D lighting effects.
Overhead Light Console - Smart surface design in the roof-lining
LIVE: An innovative and multifunctional control panel for roof-lining use will be created at the Wittmann Group stand. Ambient, reading light, or sunroof can be controlled using the In-Mold Electronics (IME) process. Gobo projections with your own logo can also be part of the interior of the future.

It’s all about the circular economy: See how KURZ’s own post-industrial recyclate RECOPOUND® is used to create stable and high-quality products, and how they can be decorated LIVE on a BAIER BECORUN machine.

The characteristics of the materials used have been incorporated into the harmonious, flowing, and calm design concept - with a fantastic feel to boot. VDMA Circular Economy Forum
Lifecycle Thinking
This is all about projects and technologies that make the circular economy possible. KURZ presents its RECOSYS® take-back system: PET carrier residues are taken back from customers and processed into their own Post-Industrial Recyclate, RECOPOUND®, which is ideal for the production of injection-molded parts and is, in turn, recyclable. That’s what Lifecycle Thinking is all about.
On a BAIER BECORUN machine, we decorate watering cans made of 100% RECOPOUND® live at the VDMA Circular Economy Forum In Pavilion 10 Booth CE14.
