Partner in smart surface designs for interface heroes

In Hall 5, Stand A19, trade fair visitors can experience how washing machines are transformed into state-of-the-art functional designer objects and adapt to innovative living trends. You can see homogeneous front panels with integrated touch operation and imaginative decorations for the body and porthole. KURZ has developed these Visionary Design concepts especially for K 2022. An animated home appliance wall allows you to recreate the effect of LED and LCD sensors yourself and customize your own panel. You can also see live how a trend panel is produced and customized in a highly efficient manner using IMD UNIFY.

Shy-Tech-Design front panel

This panel stands out due to its elegant dark design. The intuitive HMI user interface only appears in the form of a high-resolution LCD or LED display when the display is touched. The advantage of this Shy-Tech-Design is that the controls can be freely assigned. Decoration takes place in a single step via the economical IMD process, in which the panel is injection-molded and decorated at the same time.

Sensor technology for LED and LCD displays
with integrated sensors

The basis of the human-machine interface is the sensor technology of KURZ subsidiary PolyIC, which offers touchscreen and touchkey sensor solutions for a wide range of requirements.

The cost-effective and simple multi-touch sensor solution for the LCD area enables flexible programming of a wide range of operating modes (multi-finger operation) and thus provides ideal conditions for homogeneous, seamless display integration.

The translucent touch sensor for LED displays has an integrated diffuser and a laser-enabled decorative layer. This eliminates the need for additional components (light-diffusing plastic inserts) for homogeneous illumination of symbols and characters. Symbols and national languages can also be customized at the end of the process chain via laser edging. Customers benefit from a lower number of integration steps and a very delicate display of symbols and controls.

Your advantages with PolyTC® sensors

  • Various sensor integration options for efficient production design (FFB, IME, lamination)
  • Freely assignable functions on the displays
  • Great creative freedom for panel design decorations
  • Saving CO2 through an efficient process
  • Also suitable for recycled materials
  • The panels are recyclable, including the PolyTC® sensors

Washing machine fronts as designer objects

Modern, custom front designs are created in the economical PMD process. They follow the trend towards integrated living concepts and can be integrated into any room concept.

KURZ real metallization - CO2-saving and recyclable

Matte, glossy, brushed, backlit - KURZ chrome decorations have many faces. Full-surface or partial metallization using hot stamping gives you THE sustainable alternative to electroplating. The finishing, which can also be applied partially, uses wafer-thin real metal and is also extremely economical, recyclable, and suitable for recycled materials.

Your benefits:

  • Series-ready, proven process technology
  • Low-carbon process
  • Environmentally friendly compared to electroplating
  • Can also be applied partially
  • Recyclable
  • Suitable for recycled materials

IMD UNIFY

IMD UNIFY –
partner project

Efficient customization at the highest level. A washing machine panel becomes a stylish eye-catcher with IMD UNIFY. The basic decoration is produced in series in the economical IMD process and can be subsequently customized via digital printing: In combination with freely assignable controls, special edition designs, different language versions, logo variants, and much more are created. IMD UNIFY is so attractive for anyone who wants to design closed surfaces flexibly. An additional bonus for the environment: You save on buttons and switches, numerous transport journeys and work steps. Your CO2 balance will improve.

BAIER BINSPIRE

Series-ready individuality - you can resolve this apparent contradiction with BAIER BINSPIRE. Using the example of a washing machine panel, see at the KURZ booth (Hall 5, Booth A19) how the hybrid machine combines sensor integration via Functional Foil Bonding (FFB) for touch operation, and customization via digital printing in one machine unit.
